St. Louis Sauna Co.

Our Story.

Our Story

Our story can be condensed to this: two brothers veering from the “conventional” path, in search of earning a living loving what they do. We created Potter Brother Builds to do just that, where we specialize in high-end residential home construction. A keen attention to detail and commitment to quality quickly set us apart as one of the most trusted contractors in town.

Over the years, we assembled numerous pre-built saunas for clients and noticed many contradictions amongst the various kits. Some exhaust vents were near the ceiling, others below the benches. None were taller than 7 feet, nor did any incorporate ventilation other than a passive exhaust vent.

As we firmly believe in doing things the “right way”, we had to figure out what the right way for Sauna was – and were quickly led to Finland, the birthplace of sauna. It is not up for debate that the Finns build the best saunas, yet somehow nearly every important defining aspect was seemingly lost in translation with the birth of the North American Sauna. By incorporating critical Finnish design elements into our Saunas, we are sharing the Sauna experience with St. Louisians as it was meant to be. Experience the St. Louis Sauna Company difference for yourself!

Meet the Team

Tim

Founder / VP of Building Operations

Tim attended the University of Dayton where he studied finance and entrepreneurship, ultimately leading him down the path of becoming a financial planner after school. Although Tim’s service oriented personality fit right into the world of financial planning, he felt drawn to do something a little more hands on. He quickly learned the trades, but Tim has never veered from his emphasis on customer service and creating the best experience possible for the client.

Matt

Founder / President
Matt followed his older brother to Dayton, Ohio where he also studied entrepreneurship but coupled it with an accounting degree. This led Matt to an MBA and a few years as a public accountant, before realizing that the desk life was not for him. After spending a couple of years as an operations manager for a scrap metal company, Matt decided to join his brother once again – and Potter Brother Builds was born.
